On May 21, the opening of the 26th International Scientific Conference «Sakharov readings 2026: environmental problems of the XXI centuries» dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

The opening ceremony was followed by the Plenary Session. Expert reports set a high level for the following discussions within sections.
Participants from different countries attended the Conference: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Serbia, Russia, Turkmenistan, that confirms a high status of ISEI BSU as an international center of environmental knowledge.
