Research Sector (NIS) is a structural division of the Institute that provides organization, coordination and implementation of scientific and innovative activities of the Institute and its management.
Main tasks of NIS:
1) Organization and conduct of fundamental and applied scientific research in priority areas of natural, technical and socio-economic sciences corresponding to the profile of graduates.
2) Priority development of scientific research aimed at improving the education system at all levels.
3) Development of innovative activities, provision of scientific, technical and consulting services aimed at commercialization of research and development results.
4) Development of international scientific and technical cooperation.
5) Legal protection and protection of property rights to intellectual property objects.
6) Development and implementation of organizational and economic measures to attract budgetary and extra-budgetary financial resources to scientific and innovative activities.
7) Ensuring close connection of scientific and innovative activities with the educational process.
Key NIS functions:
1) Development of long-term and current plans for conducting scientific research and development in accordance with promising areas of scientific development, plans for socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus, and the needs of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
2) Organization and implementation of timely and high-quality performance of fundamental and applied research performed under state, industry, regional scientific and technical programs and individual projects, research works performed under contracts and contracts with domestic and foreign customers.
3) Execution of scientific and economic contracts for the provision of services to organizations and the public.
4) Conducting acceptance and organizing the delivery of the results obtained for completed research projects and their stages.
5) Organization of work on normative-methodological and information-analytical support of scientific research and development.
6) Marketing of scientific research and development in the domestic and international markets.
7) Preparation and holding of scientific conferences, seminars and meetings at all levels, participation in international, national and industry exhibitions.
8) Coordinate the connection of scientific research with the educational process by providing the available laboratory facilities for students, undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students to complete course and diploma projects, complete practical training and conduct scientific research.
