On December 5-6, XIV International scientific conference of young scientists, undergraduate, master, and PhD students «Actual environmental problems» took place at ISEI BSU. Young scientists, undergraduate, master, and PhD students of our Institute participated in the conference.
The conference began with a plenary session. Among the participants were Prikhodko Ivan, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus (remote participation), Rodzkin Aleh, Director of ISEI BSU, Lobai Marina, Chairperson of Student Scientific Community of ISEI BSU.
Young scientists worked at four sections: «Social environmental and ethical pedagogical issues of modernity», «Medical ecology», «Issues of modern environmental safety (bio-monitoring, bio-indication, bio-rehabilitation, radioecology and radiation safety, environmental monitoring, management and audit. Information systems and technologies in ecology, energy efficient technologies)», «Bioinformatics. Advanced approaches and methods to study biomolecules». The participants presented more than 280 scientific reports and posters reflecting the latest research and projects aimed at solving environmental problems.
The conference has become an excellent platform for sharing experience and developing new approaches to solve environmental issues. The conference has demonstrated the importance of interaction of science and society in pursuit of a more sustainable future. A collection of materials was published based on the results of the conference. It has already been posted on the Institute’s website.
