On March 2 – 3, 2023, IV International scientific methodological conference «Environmental education and sustainable development. State, goals, problems, and prospects» was held remotely at ISEI BSU, conference materials (collections, videos, multimedia presentations, workshops) were posted at the conference website.
The main goal of the conference is the formation of the international interdisciplinary platform to discuss relevant issues of environmental education coming from the goals of the world’s concept of sustainable development and the development of education of the Republic of Belarus.
Scientists and specialists in environmental education from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Belarus spoke at the plenary session: Dzyatkovskaya Elena N., Ermakov Dmitry S., Redina Margarita M., Khlebosolova Olga A., Dlimbetova Gayni K., Russkih Ivan A., Zhuk Elena Yu.
370 materials have been submitted to the conference. More than 400 representatives (among them 35 Professors and 69 PhDs) from different educational, scientific, and administrative organizations participated in the conference: 31 universities of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Mogilev, Vitebsk, Gomel, Brest, Grodno, Gorki, Pinsk), 12 colleges, 47 gymnasiums, lyceums, and secondary schools as well as 19 preschools, 12 supplementary education institutions.
43 foreign universities and 33 educational organizations from 5 countries participated in the conference: the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Organization and holding IV International scientific methodological conference «Environmental education and sustainable development. State, goals, problems, and prospects» allowed forming a discussion electronic platform for teachers of primary, secondary and higher education, Methodists of supplementary education and the specialists of other organizations in environmental education to implement sustainable development goals. It was created conditions for constructive dialogue, experience share, analysis of specific forms and methods of work in organizing the events in environmental education. Conference results will be useful to all participants of the event, and the proposed recommendations will be applied in the further practical activities of each of them.
