On May 22, the opening of the 25th Anniversary International Scientific Conference «Sakharov Readings 2025: environmental problems of the XXI century» took place in the assembly hall at Dolgobrodskaya str., 20.
Rodzkin Aleh, Director of ISEI BSU, Kilchevsky Alexander, Deputy Chairman of Presidium of the National Academy of Belarus, Prihodko Ivan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus greeted the participants of the Conference.
«For 25 years the Conference has been a platform to discuss current environmental problems and share experience. Advanced global trends, the latest scientific developments and successful practices in the field of environmental protection are presented in the Conference. I wish all participants creativity and significant achievements on this important path for the whole world», – Prihodko Ivan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, noted.
The representatives of foreign delegations who have long-standing cooperation with ISEI BSU attended the opening ceremony.
Honorary guests of the Conference were:
- Nazarkuly Shakulyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus and Myratkhan Achylov, First Secretary of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus.
- Mikhail Sobolev, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus.
- Erkin Khodjaev, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus.
- Aigerim Irgalieva, Attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus.
- Isroiljon Kalandarov, Attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Belarus.
- Mina Imanova, Second Secretary of the Embassy the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Belarus.
Then 6 reports from Belarus, Serbia, Russia, and Turkey were presented at the plenary session.
Six sections and two round tables were working for two days.
