On April 14, the grand opening of the Olympiad was held online and brought together teams with their scientific supervisors, jury members and organizers of the Olympiad.
Rodzkin Aleh I., Director of ISEI BSU greeted the participants of the Olympiad:
– Organization of the International Environmental Olympiad of the universities of the CIS countries is a great honor for our Institute. Every year the number of participants increases. Teams from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Turkmenistan take part in the Olympiad for the first time. I wish the students and their supervisors achievements, new environmental projects, success and prizes!
Jury members wished good luck to the participants of the Olympiad:
- Bukharina Irina, Director of the Institute of Civil Defense of Udmurt State University, Doctor in Biology.
- Rakovich Vyacheslav, Head of the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Agroecology of the Institute of Nature Management of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, PhD in Technical Sciences.
- Chernaya Violetta, Associate Professor of Disaster Medicine Department of Ryazan State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.
- Yarmoshuk Tatyana, Researcher of the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Agroecology of the Institute of Food of the National Academy of Belarus.
- Dzyatkovskaya Elena, Leading Researcher of the Institute of Teaching Content and Techniques of the Russian Academy of Education.
- Kuharuk Ecaterina, Associate Professor of the Institute of Pedology, Agrochemistry and Soil Protection «Nikolae Dimo», Doctor in Agricultural Sciences. (Republic of Moldova).
- Lyubchik Olga, Senior Teacher of UNESCO Chair «Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Sources» of BNTU.
Today the teams have introduced themselves. They will also pass theoretical and practical legs as well as essay in «Climate change: myth or real threat».
The Olympiad will end on April 25, 53 teams from 6 countries: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are participating in the Olympiad.
