On May 18, 2023, the 23rd International Scientific Conference «Sakharov Readings 2023: environmental problems of the XXI century» has begun its work.
Main purpose is to discuss relevant environmental issues of the Republic of Belarus and the countries of near and far abroad.
In total, 208 participants were registered. Among them are the representatives of Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Moldova.
Honor guests are:

- Kononchuk Tatyana P. – Head of General Directorate for Environmental Policy, International Cooperation and Science of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus;

- Yaroshenko Ekaterina K. – Attache of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus;
- Rustamov Nizami Isag Ogly – Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Belarus.
Rodzkin Oleg I., Director of ISEI BSU opened the Conference then honor guests welcomed the participants.
The event is held under the patronage of UNESCO, and with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian Foundation of Fundamental Research.
