On January 18, 2022, online-seminar «Energy system flexibility and interconnection of sectors: electrification of heat supply» organized by the German Energy Agency held at ISEI BSU with the support of the Representation of the German Economy in the Republic of Belarus and Information Center of the German Economy. Research sector staff, lecturers, and students of Energy Efficient Technologies Chair were at the meeting. The series of seminars were held with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection (BMWK). The seminar provided an opportunity for German and Belarusian experts to share views on current issues and possible solutions to interconnect electricity and heat sectors. In addition to the presentation of the specifics of national energy strategies, the seminar was dedicated to the electrification of the heat supply systems at the level of district/area, building, or direct consumer. Berbel Warnich, Project Manager of International Cooperation Department of the German Energy Agency, Avgustinsky Vladimir, Doctor, Head of the Representation of the German Economy in the Republic of Belarus, Poleshchuk Leonid, Deputy Director of Energy Efficiency Department of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus greeted the participants of the meeting.
