On July 3, 2021, a solemn flower-laying ceremony was held in Minsk at the foot of the Victory Monument, which represents victory in the Great Patriotic War and the memory of the soldiers of the Soviet Army, partisans and underground fighters who died during the Great Patriotic War. This ceremony gave a kind of official start to the celebrations in honor of the main holiday of the Belarusian statehood in the capital-Independence Day.
Students and employees of the BSU Sakharov Moscow State Economic Institute also took part in a solemn flower-laying ceremony on Victory Square. The delegation was headed by Director Sergey A. Maskevich.
