Key results and projects
- Over the decades of her research and pedagogical activity, Zafranskaya M. M. has published more than 250 scientific papers in domestic and foreign publications.
- Author of 4 monographs, methodological and scientific manuals and developments, 13 applications for inventions (10 patents were obtained), 4 laboratory regulations for the production of various cell cultures, 8 instructions for use.
- Under the supervision of M. M. Zafranskaya, 3 PhD theses were prepared and defended, and 2 dissertation studies were carried out.
- Zafranskaya M. M. developed a methodology to assess the immunosuppressive potential of mesenchymal stem cells both in vitro and in vivo. It allowed us to determine the criteria for evaluating the immunomodulatory effect of mesenchymal stem cells. Based on the results obtained, a technology for cellular immunotherapy of multiple sclerosis was developed, taking into account a preliminary assessment of the therapeutic effectiveness of mesenchymal stem cells. The proposed immunological criteria to assess the immunosuppressive properties of mesenchymal stem cells have no analogues in world practice and domestic healthcare and have high indicators of diagnostic sensitivity and specificity in predicting the effectiveness of cellular immunotherapy.
- Zafranskaya M. M. was awarded Honorary Certificates of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus (2016), the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus (2014), BelMAPO for active inventive activity (2014), and International Sakharov Environmental Institute.
