6-05-0521-01 “Ecology”

Students study:
  • Ecology;
  • Environmental standards;
  • Biological Science;
  • Medical Science;
  • Environmental factors impact on humans;
Practice
  • Training;
  • Medical and environmental productive practice;
  • Environmental and analytical pre-graduation;

Based on research institutions and research practical centers of the National Academy of Sciences, healthcare institutions.

Students gain
  • skills in working with normative documents;
  • skills to work with modern equipment to carry out chemical, physical, microbiological, and other analysis, research.
Description The specialty includes deep comprehension of medical and environmental disciplines with in-depth study of factors of technogenic and radionuclide environmental pollution in connection with their degenerative and destructive impact on human body, molecular mechanisms of pathology development induced by aggressive environmental factors.
Graduates Can work at laboratories of Hygiene and Epidemiology Centers, other institutions and organizations dealing with the level and type of determination of environmental factor impact on the population.

Able to carry out:

  • study interactions of a human as a biosocial object with the environment to monitor and assess industrial economic, geographic, and other factors impact on population health;
  • develop measures aimed at prevention and decreasing of negative influence of biosphere components on individual life support and the population on the whole.

Requirements
  • secondary education;
  • language proficiency (determined by the results of the interview; appropriate language level to master the educational program is needed).
