«Regional postgraduate educational course on radiation protection and the safety of radiation sources» technically supported by IAEA, based on ISEI BSU the 10th time. 12 participants from 5 countries near and far abroad (the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan) in the framework of training in the retraining specialty 1-33 01 71 «Radiation protection and the safety of radiation sources » will obtain supplementary qualification «Radiation Safety Specialist». The courses last from January 25 to July 2, 2021.

The cooperation between International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and ISEI BSU as Eastern Europe and Middle Asia regional educational center to hold the courses in Russian was founded in 2001. For the whole period of joint activities, 165 specialists from 20 countries of Eastern Europe and CIS were trained. The opening and implementation of the educational program in the retraining specialty 1-33 01 71 «Radiation protection and the safety of radiation sources» increases ISEI BSU prestige and enhances the Republic of Belarus authority on the international stage, especially, in CIS countries and Eastern Europe as a specialists training center for the countries of the region in the radiation safety field.
