On December 24, 2020, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed an order on encouraging talented young scientists. The Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus are rewarded 97 young scientists, including 12 doctors of science up to 45 years, 56 candidates of science up to 35 years and 29 scientists without a degree up to 30 years.
Maria Yurkevich, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Immunology of the Faculty of Environmental Medicine of the ISEI BSU – was among the top ten young scientists of the Belarusian State University, rewarded Scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus for 2021.
The researcher received a scholarship for a comprehensive study of ischemic-reperfusion kidney damage on an experimental model (in laboratory animals), the development and justification of new method of cell therapy for acute renal failure, the use of which in clinical practice allows you to restore the excretory function of the kidneys without the long-term use of expensive methods of extra-primary blood purification.
