On December 23, 2020, the delegation of the Exchange Center of Culture and Education of China and Eastern Europe, represented by Zhao Futian, the director of the Center and his deputy Qu Hao, paid a working visit to the ISEI BSU.
Director of the ISEI BSU – Sergey Alexandrovich Maskevich introduced the Center leaders to the history of the creation and development of the institute, its current state, specialities that will be of interest to Chinese students for studying at the first and second stages of higher education, the introduction of new educational programs, the development of new scientific directions, as well as the international activities of the institute; he also informed those present at the meeting about the long-term cooperation with the IAEA and its participation in the creation of specialized laboratories in the new building of the institute, the commissioning of which is scheduled for 2021.
Zhao Fuqiang, director of the Center for the Culture Exchange and Education of China and Eastern Europe, spoke about the Center interest in cooperation with our institute, familiarized with the Center mission to establish cooperation between higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus and similar institutions of Northwestern China; the Center assistance in enhancing the exchange of experience of Belarusian and Chinese scientists; participation of representatives of the ISEI BSU at the international conference “Silk Road – 2020”; support for future joint projects of the Center by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
The meeting was also attended by: Sysa Alexey Grigoryevich, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Medicine, Zhilko Vyacheslav Vladimirovich, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Monitoring and Putik Vladimir Stanislavovich, Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining, who introduced the guests to the specifics of the specialities of the faculties, the training of foreign citizens, the participation of the teaching staff in educational and scientific projects. The participant of the meeting – Tonkonogov Boris Alexandrovich, head of the educational and methodological laboratory of innovative technologies, demonstrated in practice the distance learning of students of the Institute and the normative and methodological support of the educational process used.
During the event, the parties agreed on the beginning of active mutual actions in 2021 and identified areas of cooperation: participation in conferences organized through the mediation of the Center; mutually beneficial partnership in the educational field and the development of new educational programs in promising areas of training of Chinese citizens.
