On December 17, 2020, a meeting of the Public Council of the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States for Environmental Education was held at the ISEI BSU. The meeting was held in an online format.
The Chairman of the Public Council of the Basic Organization, Director of the ISEI BSU, Professor S. A. Maskevich addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech. The participants of the meeting honoured the memory of the first Chairman of the Public Council of the Basic Organization of the CIS member States for Environmental Education, Rector of the ISEI BSU Semyon Petrovich Kundas by a minute of silence.
The meeting was attended from the Republic of Tajikistan – U. M. Mirsaidov (Agency for nuclear and radiation safety of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan); from the Republic of Kazakhstan – G. K. Alimbetova (L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University); from the Russian Federation D. V. Vinogradov (Ryazan State Agrotechnological University Named After P. A. Kostychev), E. N. Dzyatkovskaya (Institute for Strategy of Education Development of the Russian Academy of Education); from Moldova – E. S. Kukharuk (Institute of Pedology, Agrochemistry and Soil Protection “Nicolae Dimo”); from the Kyrgyz Republic – B. S. Ordobaev (Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University).
Also, the online meeting was attended by: M. M. Mirzoev (Faculty of Land Management and Geodesy of the Tajik Agrarian University named Shirinsho Shotemur) and L. Popov (Institute of Pedology, Agrochemistry and Soil Protection “Nicolae Dimo”).
In accordance with the agenda, the results of the work of the Basic Organization of the CIS member States on environmental Education were heard, according to the Work Plan of the Public Council for 2020, according to the publication “Conceptual and Terminological Dictionary of Environmental Education for Sustainable Development”. Information about the International Summer School held in the online format was also announced. The main goal of the International Summer School was mutually beneficial cooperation, the introduction of innovative methods and the search for new effective ideas in the field of ecology and environmental education, the expansion of professional contacts between speakers from Kazakhstan, Russia and Europe (on the basis of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University). In addition, the following conferences were held in 2020: International Scientific and Practical online Conference “Green University – University of the XXI century”; International scientific and practical online conference “Continuous environmental education for sustainable development as an important direction of modernization of the educational system”; International Scientific and Practical Conference “Economics. Ecology. Safety (ESS, Topola, Belgrade, Serbia-2020) (Ufa State Aviation Technical University).
The participants of the meeting made their proposals for the activities to be included in the Work Plan of the Public Council of the Basic Organization for 2021. Hold: II All-Russian (with international participation) Festival of Scientific and Practical Developments on Education for Sustainable Development “Environmental education as a platform for promoting the ideas of sustainable development in education”; International Scientific and Practical Conference during the festival “Green Kindergarten – Green School – Green Institution”; International Environmental Relay 4.7.; International seminar “Uranium heritage of the Soviet Union in Central Asia: Problems and Solutions”.
Deputy Director for Scientific Work M. G. Hermenchuk, Deputy Director for Educational and Educational Work I. E. Buchenkov, Associate Professor of the Department of General Biology and Genetics Y. V. Malinovskaya addressed the issues on the agenda of the ISEI BSU.
At the end of the meeting, the participants noted that during the year, networking and exchange of experience in methodological work are carried out, and a high level of publication activity is maintained. As a result of the meeting, the work of the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States on Environmental Education was recognized as satisfactory. The participants of the meeting expressed their interest in further developing cooperation and expanding inter-university relations in priority areas within the framework of the Public Council’s activities.
