Since the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, the laboratory of “Environmental biotechnology” (head – Koktysh Irina Vladimirovna, c. b. s.) of the Department of General Biology and Genetics and the Department of Environmental Medicine of the ISEI BSU enriched by multimodal tablet reader CLARIOstarPlus (BMG Labtek, Germany) with LVF monochromator. The device provides dynamic measurement of the luminescence intensity and absorption of patterns in the visible range of the spectrum in multiplex mode and tablet format, followed by data processing on a personal computer. This makes it possible to conduct studies of cell metabolism, assessment of its viability and cytotoxicity, apoptosis and necrosis. This technique opens up fundamentally new possibilities for solving problems of biomolecular and cytoanalytics and will be used in educational and scientific processes.
Joint research with the centre “Nanophotonics” SSI “Institute of physics named after B. I. Stepanov of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus” on the development of the immunofluorescence test systems with plasma enhancement to determine the significant antigens has already conducted in the lab with the help of new equipment.
