ISEI BSU took part in the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Continuous Environmental Education for Sustainable Development as an Important Direction of Modernization of the Educational System”

On October 16, 2020, the ISEI BSU took part in the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Continuous Environmental Education for Sustainable Development as an Important Direction of Modernization of the Educational System”, which was held at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan, and was organized through the “Zoom” platform.

At the opening of the conference the participants were addressed with a welcoming speech: Merzadinova Gulnara Tynyshbaeva, doctor of technical Sciences, Professor, Pro-rector on science and innovations of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the city of Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan; Somzhurek Baubek Zhumashevich, candidate of historical Sciences, associate Professor, Dean of the faculty of social Sciences of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the city of Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan; Slambekova Tolkyn Slamkulova, candidate of pedagogical Sciences, i. o. Professor, Head of the Department of “Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge” of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan; Sergey Aleksandrovich Maskevich, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Director of the International Sakharov Environmental Institute of the Belarusian State University, Chairman of the Public Council of the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States for Environmental Education, Minsk, Republic of Belarus; Ayman Zhumagalievna Dyusenova, Director of the lyceum school, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan; Plyamina Olga Vladimirovna, Director General of the V. I. Vernadsky Non-Governmental Environmental Fund, Moscow, Russian Federation.

The Plenary session of the conference was attended by Smolnik Nadezhda Sergeevna, Head of the Educational and Methodological Laboratory of Environmental Education at the ISEI BSU, Minsk, Republic of Belarus, with the report “Continuous Environmental Education: Traditional and Innovative Approaches”.

The plenary session was moderated by Dlinmbetova Gaini Karikeevna, PhD, Professor of the Department of “Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge” of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan;

The work of the conference participants was carried out in the following breakout sessions:

Section “Innovative opportunities for continuing environmental education for sustainable development (preschool education-secondary education-college-university-postgraduate education). Section “Continuity of ecologization of educational activities at different stages of education in conditions of sustainable development: spiritual and moral attitude to nature”. Moderator – Bakirova of Culiacan Shaimerdenova, Ph. D., Professor of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan;

Section “Ecologization of professional education as a strategy of training in universities and colleges”. Moderator – Pristypa Elena Nikolaevna, doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Moscow Pedagogical State University, Moscow, Russian Federation;

Section “System of school environmental education in the context of updating the content of education”. Moderator – Smolnik Nadezhda Sergeevna, Head of the Educational and Methodological Laboratory of Environmental Education of the ISEI BSU, Minsk, Republic of Belarus;

Section “Environmental volunteer movement in educational organizations”. Moderator – Augustinova Tatyana, head of the educational programmes of non-governmental environmental Fund named after V. I. Vernadsky, Moscow, Russian Federation;

Section “Environmental psychology in the educational system”. Moderator – Abenova Saulet, Senior Lecturer, Department of Psychology, L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan;

Section “International experience of career guidance activities of Green Universities”. Moderator – Dlimbetova Gaini Karikeevna, PhD, Professor of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Main goal of this conference was to find innovative technologies for updating the content of continuing education, including greening the pedagogical activities of all levels of educational organizations, and expanding international cooperation in the field of environmental movement.
