The chiefs of the first-year groups of the ISEI BSU, Anna Yatskovskaya (Faculty of Environmental Medicine) and Alisa Mokhon (Faculty of Environmental Monitoring), were immersed in the atmosphere of a friendly and businesslike atmosphere that prevailed at all the events of the headmaster for three days. The participants were combined into 8 teams, our elders joined the team Sakharov Institute of the faculty of Radiophysics and computer technology, faculty of chemistry (in order to adequately represent their team, its participants have been preparing daily since the first days of September: they composed songs, staged dance numbers, rehearsed a play, and made sets.) From the very first contest, our team has declared its ambitions and desire to win. Passing the quest, participating in dance and song contests, performing with a creative number, in these competitions they were not equal, the team firmly held the championship, but in the competition for the best video, the positions were slightly lost. In the final standings, our team has the second place and a lot of gifts from the sponsors of the event.
At the seminar, a traditional meeting of the first-year activists with the university administration was held. BSU Rector Andrey Korol, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovations Oksana Zdrok, and Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Affairs Ivan Yanushevich answered questions and shared their opinions. Such communication turned out to be very useful for the elders, because in their work they will have to solve controversial issues, look for ways out of existing situations.
Taking part in the work of the forum “Theater”, the section “Role-playing”, reflections with the curators, the elders learned the wisdom of oratory, mastered the techniques that will help them in the future, in finding acceptable solutions in any conflict situation.
After the seminar, our first-year prefects are in an enthusiastic state, they are already active participants in the youth policy of BSU, they have ideas for the development of student initiatives, they are ready to share very useful and necessary life hacks with students.
