New information resource http://monitoring.iseu.by/ “System of online monitoring of the state of environmental components in Orsha and Orsha District” was developed at the Department of Information Technologies in Ecology and Medicine of the ISEI BSU, which was created under an agreement with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus by: Zhuravkov Vladislav Vladimirovich, Head of the Department of Information Technologies in Ecology and Medicine, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor; Holovaty Sergey Yefimovich head of the Department of Environmental Monitoring and Management, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor; Tonkonogov Boris Aleksandrovich – head of the laboratory of innovative educational technologies, candidate of technical Sciences, Associate Professor; Artsimenya Mikhail Valerievich and Makhovenko Eduard Igorevich – the engineers of the Department of Information Technologies in Ecology and Medicine; Tkachenko Sergey Vyacheslavovich – head of the Department of Technical Means of Education and Communication.
In accordance with the Concept and the Technical specifications of the agreement, in the framework of the event, 50 subprogramme 5 “Operation, Development and Improvement of the National System of Environmental Monitoring in the Republic of Belarus” of the State Program “Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources” for 2016-2020, the working group developed software information resource “Online condition monitoring of the environmental components of Orsha and Orsha district”, with the integration of the previously developed and currently valid ecological map of the Republic of Belarus.
For state and local authorities, the information resource “System of online monitoring of the state of environmental components in Orsha and Orsha district” is a tool to support management decision-making based on the use of state information resources.
For managers and specialists of the ministries and departments of Vitebsk regional Executive Committee, Orsha district Executive Committee, subordinated and other organizations operating in the district, the information resource “Online condition monitoring of the environmental components of Orsha and Orsha District” is a tool for creating, accumulating and systematizing accounting data, remote information exchange, obtaining and providing statistical, cartographic and other reporting information about objects and processes that are in their area of responsibility.
Thus, the use of the information resource “Online condition monitoring of environmental components and the town of Orsha, Orsha district” in management, Orsha district allows you to create a universal model for the integrated representation of objects planning and management of the territory of the district, its analytical study and monitoring on the basis of modern GIS and web technologies.
Currently, it is planned to enter information into the database exclusively by the developer, i.e. by the staff of the ISEI BSU. The data will be updated on a monthly basis.
