On October 4, 2020, the ISEI BSU took part in the event “International Day for the Protection of Animals”, held in the cultural and educational institution “Minsk Zoo”.
The interactive platform, organized by the Laboratory of Environmental Education together with the Department of General Biology and Genetics, was dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity in the world and the Republic of Belarus.
Various activities, tasks and master classes were organized for the visitors of the event of all ages.
For example, by working with an interactive map, young visitors learned about the habitats of rare and endangered animals. Older children and adults attended mini-lectures on the types of extinct animals and the reasons for their disappearance. And as part of the origami master class, everyone was able to make their own hands and take home a “rare animal”.
