On September 26, 2020, the volunteer ISEI BSU environmental group, consisting of students and employees of the Institute, took part in the republican campaign “CleanUp Day“, mass cleaning of adjacent natural objects from garbage. This year, students of the ISEI BSU held an action on the territory of the forest park of the Sosny microdistrict, a place of active recreation for Minsk residents. During the cleaning, the volunteers collected garbage, sorting it into categories: “Plastic and film”, “PET (polyethylene terephthalate)”, “Glass”, “Other garbage”, so that in the future the waste could go directly to the processing enterprises. Plastic lids were collected separately and were transferred to the social and environmental project “New Life in Exchange for Lids”.
In total, more than 100 student volunteers from universities and colleges of our country were involved in the republican campaign. The environmental campaign was implemented by the Republican Center for Ecology and Local History in partnership with Coca-Cola in Belarus and with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
Coca-Cola in Belarus will reward the author of the best post in social networks.
