On April 30, 2020, the ISEI BSU took part in the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Green University-University of the XXI Century”. The event was dedicated to the scientific and information exchange of Kazakhstan and foreign scientists and practitioners in the field of greening education, as well as to the discussion of the “green” university model.
The conference was attended by representatives of the administration of the Institute and the laboratory of environmental education. At the plenary session, the report “Greening” of higher education: the experience of the International Sakharov Environmental Institute of the BSU” was made by the director of the institute Sergey Aleksandrovich Maskevich. The experience presented by him aroused great practical interest among the participants of the conference.
In general, the participants communication and exchange of experience took place at the plenary session, during the work of the sections and the round table. Also, within the framework of the conference, school children and students presented a number of environmental projects that were appreciated by the participants of the conference. Such experience is important for future young scientists, as they received professional recommendations on the development of their environmental ideas.
Thus, the international scientific and practical online conference “Green university – university of the XXI century” allowed online discussion of current trends in environmental education and global trends in the development of “green” universities.
