We paid tribute to those who defended the independence of our country during the Great Patriotic War, carried portraits of war heroes, their relatives who took part in the hostilities, and honoured their memory with a minute of silence. Together with the Head of State, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the column included representatives of organizations and institutions, labour collectives, veterans of the Armed Forces, soldiers-internationalists, students of the Minsk Suvorov Military School, pioneers, representatives of public organizations, youth and clergy.
