Students obtain skills in<\/strong>\u00a0ensuring nuclear and radiation safety of personnel and the public; accounting and control of nuclear materials at nuclear power plants and in their sanitary protection zones; safe use of ionizing radiation sources; individual dosimetric monitoring and monitoring of the radiation situation during radiation-hazardous work.<\/span><\/p>

A medical physicist prepares the appropriate equipment, treatment procedure, or research. During radiation therapy, he calculates an individual safe dose and conducts radiation treatment of patients. \"\"<\/span><\/td>1-43 01 06 “Energy Efficient Technologies and Energy Management”, qualification “Energy Manager Engineer”;<\/strong>\u00a0Students study <\/b>technologies and devices to convert various types of energy; power supply systems for enterprises, buildings and structures; methodology to evaluate the efficiency of using renewable energy sources. Students acquire skills in <\/b>development and implementation of energy-efficient technologies in various sectors of the national economy; conducting a system energy analysis of enterprises; monitoring and accounting for the consumption of fuel and energy resources and monitoring their effective use.\u00a0Graduates <\/b>are ready to work in the energy departments and services of various enterprises and organizations of industry, forestry, transport, construction, research centers, etc.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>
\u00a0History of foundation:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>
The Faculty of Environmental Monitoring was originally established as the Department of Radiobiology, Radiation and Nuclear Medicine. The first Rector of International Sakharov Environmental University, Professor A.M. Lyutsko contributed a lot to the formation and development of the Department. He founded the Department and provided direct support to it from 1991 to 1997. Subsequently, the third Rector of International Sakharov Environmental University, Professor S. P. Kundas, actively participated in the development of the faculty.<\/span><\/div>
The faculty trains students in a group of engineering specialties related to ensuring the rational use of natural resources, environmental safety and environmental protection. Students are taught the methods of environmental monitoring, radiation monitoring, environmental impact assessment; analysis of data obtained to make decisions on environmental management, work with legal and regulatory documentation, the basics of nuclear and radiation safety at nuclear power plants and when exposed to ionizing radiation on personnel and the population; principles of medical physics and the use of radiation technologies in medicine, conduct system energy analysis (energy audit) of enterprises, technological processes and devices, assess their functional, economic and energy efficiency; calculate the energy efficiency of design solutions, assess their environmental safety.<\/span><\/div>
Students of the faculty receive good practical training not only in University laboratories with modern equipment, but also based on industrial and energy sector enterprises, departments of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, research centers, hydrometeorological center, design organizations, High-Tech Park, medical institutions.<\/span><\/div>
