On March 9, 2022, the republican stage of the 11th International Environmental Olympiad of higher education institutions of the CIS countries was held at ISEI BSU.
Maskevich S. A., Director of ISEI BSU, took the floor to greet the participants and introduce the jury of the Olympiad for this stage. The jury consisted of Bezruchenok N. N., PhD in Biology, Associate Professor of Biotechnology Department of Polessky State University; Moiseeva M. O., PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of Feeds Production Department of Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine; Russkikh I. A., Head of laboratory of the Republican Center for Ecology and Local History; Handogiy A. V., PhD in Biology, Associate Professor of Morphology and Physiology of Humans and Animals of Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank.
Nine teams of higher education institutions of our Republic have been announced to participate in the national selection:
Brest State A.S. Pushkin University (team leader Gryadunova Oksana);
International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarusian State University (main team, team leader Zhyltsova Yuliya).

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (team leader Marchik Tatyana);
Belarusian State Agricultural Academy (team leader Pugacheva Irina);
Francisk Skorina Gomel State University (team leader Vorobieva Elena).
The Republican stage of the Olympiad was opened with a nomination «Best self-presentation» which made it possible for teams to get acquainted with each other. Then theoretical and practical rounds were held.
At practical round, the teams presented to the jury their projects to solve the issue of transport impact on the urban environment.

The winners in the nomination «Best self-presentation» are Francisk Skorina Gomel State University (first class diploma) and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (first class diploma); Brest State A.S. Pushkin University (second class diploma); the Faculty of Biology of Belarusian State University (third class diploma).
Derachits Alena (ISEI BSU) is the winner in the individual classification of the theoretical round, Gil Margarita (ISEI BSU) and Konankova Elena (Y. Kupala GSU) awarded second class diplomas, Kayrkhan Gauhar (ISEI BSU) and Naumenko Alexandra (the Faculty of Geography and Geo Informatics of BSU) awarded third class diplomas. These students will represent the team of the Republic of Belarus at the international stage of the Olympiad.
