ISEI BSU started the implementation of the project 609528-EPP- 1-2019-1-GE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP ‹‹Setting peer review instruments and goals for medical education (health)›› of the international technical assistance for the ERASMUS+ program

In the Republic of Belarus in 2020-2022, within the framework of the Erasmus + program, an international technical assistance project ‹‹Setting peer review instruments and goals for medical education (health)››. The international project coordinator is BAU International University, Batumi. The project is being implemented by a consortium of 14 partners from 7 states: Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Lithuania.

 From the Republic of Belarus in the project will take part International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarusian State University and Grodno State Medical University. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is responsible for coordination and control over the implementation of the project. 

The project complies with the priorities of the state policy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of health protection, set out in the State program “People’s health and demographic security of the Republic of Belarus for 2016 – 2020”, and also corresponds to the key priorities for the development of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, defined in the State program “Education and politics “for 2016 – 2020. in terms of improving the quality of education and deepening ties with customer organizations. 

The goal of this project is to improve the quality of medical education in partner countries and to contribute to improving the quality of medical education in the rest of the former Soviet Union. The objectives of the project are: creation of a multinational peer review board (MPRB); creating and building a sustainable system of ongoing peer review of academic programs and processes, as well as administrative policies, procedures and actions in partner countries and beyond; creation of an annual scientific and practical journal “Expert evaluation in medical education (health care) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECOMED-VECA)»; strengthening the internationalization of HEIs in partner countries and developing the capacity of teachers and administrative staff.

The implementation of this project will provide an opportunity to systematize, structure, optimize and standardize the tools used to assess the quality of teaching and develop, based on positive examples from world practice, new more effective tools for assessing the quality of teaching activities of the teaching staff.
